When Jesus is born in the stable. God is born not just prince but also pauper. Thus, Emmanuel, God with Us, can be trusted to be God with us in our poverty, God with us in our brokenness, and God with us in our pain. God really is God with us always. Why not seize the moment today to sit with Eleanor, Brenda, and Randy as they savor the God who dressed in rags and lay in a manager so we could be sure He would never, ever leave us alone.
